Payment Policy

Effective Date: May 23, 2025

At The Final Mark, each transaction is handled with transparency, grace, and utmost professionalism. Please review the following terms regarding pricing, payments, and cancellations.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following forms of payment:

​

  • Cash

  • Zelle

  • Venmo

  • Major debit cards (via secure mobile processing)​

​

Travel Distance Fee is due upon booking, unless otherwise arranged in advance. Notarization Fee is due at the time of service. A receipt will be provided.

Appointments & Fees

Fees are determined by:

​

  • Type of notarial act

  • Number of notarizations

  • Distance for mobile services

  • After-hours or weekend requests

​

You’ll receive a quote at the time of booking. Quotes are honored unless service scope changes.

​

Travel Fees: Mobile services include a base travel fee, which may increase depending on mileage and time of day.


After-Hours: Appointments requested before 9 AM or after 6 PM may incur a premium rate.

Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Cancellations within 12 hours of your appointment may incur a $25 fee, depending on the reason for cancellation.

  • No-shows will be billed the full mobile service fee and may be required to pre-pay for future appointments.

Legal & Document Refusals

Scarlet Seal reserves the right to refuse notarization if:

​

  • Identification cannot be verified

  • The signer is unwilling, unsure, or appears coerced

  • The document is incomplete or raises legal/ethical concerns

  • The request falls outside the notary’s legal scope

  • The notary feels uncomfortable for any reason

​

In such cases, a travel fee may still apply if mobile services were rendered.

Refund Policy

All notarization services (including any additional fees) are final once completed. Fees are non-refundable once a notarial certificate has been signed and sealed. However, if you are unsatisfied or experience an issue, please reach out promptly—your satisfaction matters.
